Wedding Wednesday: The Duncan Wedding
The Duncan Wedding | December 16, 2016 | Photography by: Amanda Martin
Emma Nash and Caleb Duncan met at Blue Ridge Community Church. After bonding on a trip to Haiti and spending a couple of years with mutual friends, Caleb officially asked Emma out. The couple love to go to random places and dance; it became "their thing". On one such date at a local park, the two got out of the car, turned on the music and before Emma knew it Caleb was down on one knee.
Emma and Caleb say that their favorite memory from the wedding was that, despite the outdoor wedding 27 degree weather, all of the people they love were in one place. With a huge bridal party of 22 people, Emma says that one of the most unique features of the wedding is the comfortable, close environment felt in such a large group of people. Other unique features are the framing handmade wooden doors and pergola built by a family friend, and the chocolate-dipped wooden spoons that Emma made as wedding favors. They have the couple's name and wedding date burned into the handle, and a candy cane stick tied up with the wedding colors attached. The cake was made by Emma's aunt, who also made her parents' cake for their wedding. Between the family huddled under blankets, and the beautiful favors and cake, the Duncan's day sure is sweet!
