Wedding Wednesday: The Grab Wedding
The Grab Wedding | April 14, 2018 | Photography by: Tara Lilly Photography
Jonathan Grab and Melissa Singleton met during a night out on the town when they were freshly out of college in 2011. They always spent the holidays in Roanoke, VA, so beneath the Mill Mountain Star that overlooks the city seemed the perfect place to propose.
Their wedding was full of fun touches like glow in the dark tambourines, which were a huge hit on the dance floor, and a Motown funk band which turned out to be a real crowd pleaser. They opted for a pale pink color scheme, a three-tiered vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a delicious steak and potato bar with salmon, salad, mixed veggies and BBQ. And to go out with a bang, they finished the night off with a sparklers exit.
Melissa recalls her favorite part of the wedding was having some alone time with Jonathan after the ceremony. The weekend was so busy with friends and family, so it was the perfect time to reflect with each other. She also loves how well her photos turned out and can’t stop looking at them. The wedding was held at the Hotel Roanoke, and since most of their friends and family are from out of town, the couple loved showing off the city.
