Wedding Wednesday: The Gray Wedding
The Gray Wedding | April 14, 2018 | Photography by: Elizabeth Harris Photography
Haleigh Byrd and Christopher Gray met through work when Haleigh was a Customer Service Manager and Christopher was a Produce Manager. The couple did not hit it off immediately, describing their initial relationship as love/hate, which they now look back on and laugh. The two parted ways when Chris moved to a store farther away and Haleigh was re-assigned to a store in Charlottesville, VA, but the two reunited through friends later on. One night Chris went up to Charlottesville for dinner, and as the saying goes, the rest is history!
One night, during an “Easter Lunch” which Chris had organized with their family and friends, he took Haleigh outside to look at the ducks. When they stepped out on the back deck, the couple was met by all of their loved ones with balloons and rose petals. Surrounded by their daughters Aubriee and Oaklynn, Christopher got down on one knee and proposed.
The couple opted for a simple and classic wedding with a grey and black color scheme. The weather was perfect that day and they walked down the aisle to the violin cover to All of Me by John Legend. Haleigh’s favorite part of the day was all of the love she felt in the room surrounded by so many friends and loved ones. She recalls sitting at her table with her new husband, looking around the room, and saying “These are our people! Everyone is here for us!”
