Wedding Wednesday: The Williams Wedding

The Williams Wedding | May 26, 2018 | Photography by: Simply Poetic Image Photography

Jeannie Prillaman met Richard Williams at Macado’s in downtown Roanoke. Richard is originally from Rhode Island and Jeannie loved hearing his New England accent. They’d just returned from an amazing cruise together when he told Jeannie he might have another 50 years in him, and he wanted to spend them with her. When Richard pulled out the ring and asked her to share them with him, through her tears, Jeannie said YES!

Jeannie’s favorite memory of the wedding was her brother’s toast. She’d been asking him what he thought of Richard for some time, but he never gave her an answer, which she found infuriating. So on the wedding day during his toast, he finally gave his opinion. He thought Richard was a great guy and openly welcomed him to the family, revealing he’d withheld sharing his opinion before that day just in case Jeannie screwed it up!

Jeannie credits her sister-in-law Denise for pulling together an amazing wedding in just three short months after getting a lucky slot at the Waterfront Country Club due to a cancellation. The venue provided most of the needed items for their special day, combined with Denise’s creative talents in making beautiful favors and decorations, such as silk bags full of chocolate and water bottles with the couple’s names and wedding date.
