Jordan & Lisa White | December 28, 2013 | Photography by Mirage Photography
Brought together by friends in college, it was only fitting that Jordan proposed to Lisa at their favorite spot where their "special tree" was at James Madison University. The couple kept their winter "white" themed wedding focused on faith, family, and friends. They did this by choosing specific worship songs for the ceremony and personally greeting every guest that arrived. They also gave out Jordan almonds bagged in organza as a nod to their Italian roots. The color scheme was ivory, cobalt blue, and winter blues. Snowflakes set the theme for the season hanging from chandeliers at the reception and tucked into the centerpieces as well, which featured many votive candles making the room feel magical. . The reception also featured photos of the bride and groom for guests to enjoy during the cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour as well as the opportunity to take their own at the photo wall with props. Lisa wanted to make sure to keep things unique and incorporate their love for rival football teams with their entrance that featured bridesmaids waving pom poms and the couple waving Steelers and Ravens flags. Lisa's dress also had a unique touch. She found a dress very similar to what she envisioned and later found the perfect lace to give her dress additional finishing touches to make it her dream gown. Lisa and Jordan agreed that seeing one another for the first time during the walk down the aisle was their favorite moment of the night. They also loved the heartfelt toasts given by their families and friends. After their wedding, Jordan organized a relaxing trip to Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, California for the honeymoon as the couple always dreamed of going there.
