Nathan & Wendy Shepperson | July 4, 2014 | Photography by Noah Magnifico
Nathan and Wendy met by chance one day when they were both at 419 West, the bar they both frequented. The couple had been remodeling The Green Hill House for months and spent many of those nights talking about their future together. One night in particular, he made plans for dinner, and Wendy was hoping this was finally her proposal she'd been waiting for. When Nathan picked her up, he surprised her by taking her to the kitchen where they dreamed of a future together and asked Wendy to be his wife. It only made sense to hold their wedding at the very venue they restored together and be the first couple to wed there. The fireworks set off for the holiday also added a special element to the day, and the verandah of The Green Hill House was the perfect spot to observe them. The couple made sure to incorporate their children into their wedding. Wendy's oldest son Jake walked her down the aisle, and her younger son Luke was the ring bearer alongside Nathan's son Jacob. As a special moment with just the family after guests left, the couple and their children set of glow lanterns together as a sign of becoming a family.
