Brice & Jaimie Tucker | September 21, 2013 | Photography by Pasha Belman
Jaimie and Brice met thanks to Jaimie's sister at a concert in Blacksburg. After graduating Bridgewater College, Brice attended Virginia Tech where Jaimie also attended. One day they took a walk with their dogs on the beach, where Brice paused to propose. Jaimie says one of her favorite moments was getting in the ocean to "trash the dress" as the newlyweds took photos after the ceremony, while Brice says his was the late night karaoke. Thanks to a gorgeous beach house (owned by Jaimie's family) in North Myrtle Beach, the entire day was relaxed and personal. A rustic elegance theme complemented the light pink and cream and light peach color palette. Farm tables, Mason jars, and cross-sections of logs were used as centerpieces; the cake topper, a cowboy boot (a nod to Brice's childhood on a farm) and a slipper for Jaimie. Guests enjoyed buffet-style Chinese food and fortune cookies, and took home cute koozies as favors, along with vials of pistachios. The happy couple left on a decorated golf cart to take a walk on the beach (where they had the "trash the dress" session) and upon returning, changed into dry clothes and continued celebrating well into the night. Brice and Jaimie went on a short honeymoon to one of their favorite cities, Charleston, SC, where they enjoyed shopping, architecture, and great restaurants.
