Wedding Wednesday: The Brockman Wedding

When Thomas rolled into his first day at high school in a flashy red car, Carly couldn’t take her eyes off him. Despite being two years older, he was still instantly attracted to Carly as well. The two became high school sweethearts quickly and dated for a steady and loving eight years. It was after those eight years that Thomas decided to propose to Carly at her parents’ home where they all popped a bottle of champagne and agreed that it was about time that the two got married.

The wedding day was decorated with the theme of vintage and was complete with old post cards, birdcages and wine barrels. The decorates were appropriately decorated in accenting colors of champagne and petal pink. They kept the food traditionally southern style and served their guests with a delicious macaroni and cheese bar. The cake was the real showstopper, though, and was made of red velvet with buttercream frosting.

Despite the rain from the day, everyone had a great time and moved under the tents to stay dry. One of the best moments from the event was, actually, the bride and groom dancing in the rain. The couple’s send off was in a golf cart since the groom was a golfer. The newlyweds rode off under sparklers and their guests sent them off with well wishes. As redemption for the rain that day, the sky painted a stunning rainbow over the two as they headed into their future.
