Wedding Wednesday: The Murray Wedding

The Murray Wedding | May 2, 2015 | Photography by Noah Magnifico- Photographer

Since they were children, Lindsay and Jason only lived five blocks from each other but didn't actually meet until 2010 when Jason started teaching at the same school as Lindsay. Lindsay took her students to gym class one day where she saw the new P.E. teacher, Jason, and was immediately interested in him. Jason came and introduced himself to Lindsay, but as he was walking away she realized she hadn’t been paying attention because she was too distracted by how handsome he was! For the rest of her planning period that day, Lindsay took time to try and learn everything she could about Jason but over the next couple of months, to Lindsay’s dismay, they didn’t speak again. Around the school, Lindsay was known as a big Virginia Tech fanatic and often had extra tickets to the game. It was in November that Jason sought her out to see if she had any extra tickets and, despite finding one of his own, the two met up at the game and began a great friendship. Lucky for the both of them, it eventually blossomed into more.

Jason proposed to Lindsay when they were on vacation in Myrtle Beach with a couple of friends. One evening, the two couples went to dinner at Drunken Jack’s Restaurant and then decided to go for a walk on the pier afterwards. In their relationship, Lindsay loves taking photos but Jason hates them. However, on this particular evening, he asked her to take a photo with him at the end of the pier. They took two photos together and then as Lindsay started to walk toward her friend to get the camera, Jason said, “Wait, let’s try a different pose.” Lindsay then turned to see Jason get down on one knee. She was so surprised and taken aback by the beauty of the moment and the sunset behind them that her first response was “Are you serious?” Jason then assured her of his intentions and Lindsay eagerly accepted.

Their wedding held a lot of special moments for the couple. Lindsay loved the father/daughter dance during the reception because all of the father/daughter pairs were invited to join on the dance floor. The dance was then turned into a party after by the flash mob of guests getting excited to the song "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars. This is a memory that sticks with them even now and the two can’t help but laugh and dance as they remember that day.

The wedding was planned to highlight the seasons of love and the couple even had four engagement photo sessions in each of the seasons. The engagement photos were then used in a slideshow in the wedding. The guestbook went along with the theme as well, by having each guest sign in and put their favorite memory with the couple under the respective season.
